Floods: It's God's Judgment!

What is it with religious wingnuts? We now have a British Bishop declaring that recent floods in the UK are the fault of the gays.

"The sexual orientation regulations [which give greater rights to gays] are part of a general scene of permissiveness. We are in a situation where we are liable for God's judgment, which is intended to call us to repentance."

He expressed his sympathy for those who have been hit by the weather, but said that the problem with "environmental judgment is that it is indiscriminate".

And, just in case you didn't bite on his gay attack, he blames the rest on western economies:

The West is also being punished for the way that it has exploited poorer nations in its pursuit of economic gain. "It has set up dominant economic structures that are built on greed and that keep other nations in a situation of dependence. The principle of God's judgment on nations that have exploited other nations is all there in the Bible," he said.

Alrighty then. So, even when there are perfectly rational explanations for what happened, this clown has to turn to his fuzzy cloud being in order to explain it? Next time something bad had happens, do I get to blame it on the licentious behaviour of pedophile priests?

No, I didn't think so either.

I don't get these clowns - did they have their brains removed when they were ordained? No, it's more likely that these goons are simply so desperate to inject themselves into political power that they have chosen to use anything they can to spread fear - even if it means invoking the wrath of their particularly notion of 'God the Micromanager'.

God is an extremely poor shot as his wraths upon us routinely miss the sodomite gatherings. These bishops are a friggin joke.
