"We're not going to listen to anything you say".
At their caucus meeting, Harper tells Canadians that "Principles not polls will govern how the Conservatives establish policy, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said"
I see - so it's a principled stand to screw Canada over in trade relations with the US? It's a principled stand to blindly support one side in a war - even when that side is breaking more conventions of international law than you can shake a stick at?
While I don't expect any government to follow polls on every topic, but it would be a good idea if they started to define just what they mean by "principled" now. At the moment, it's looking an awful lot like "principled" means "we're going to do whatever we want, and screw what the public thinks".
I don't think I've ever seen a government go from shaky minority to arrogance without passing through one or two majorities in between. With Harper, we're seeing just that. He's gone from newly elected to arrogant in a matter of months.
A progressive voice shining light into the darkness of regressive politics. Pretty much anything will be fair game, and little will be held sacred.

i do believe that in the neo-con dictionary, principled is an antonym of meaured.
gee, that's quite the process to go through to post here!!!
- sorry about the process to post, but I had a real spate of 'bot-spam' a while ago, and the "see-me" key has knocked that back to nil. {meaning that generally comments are posted by real people, instead of being ads for someone's pharmaceuticals.}
