Interesting Update

Late in July, I was making a few snarky comments about an interview I heard on CBC during my drive into work.

An anonymous commenter must have been checking my links, because they observed that the offending material has been removed from the websites in question.

They also added a note that suggests that the High River radio station that had been carrying his show has dropped it.

Fascinating. After all the crowing recently about "winning" some initial argument with the Human Rights Commission in Alberta, it's hard to guess why that material suddenly vanished from the websites.

It's not surprising that Chandler has changed his tune. Instead of going to jail to protect his freedom of religion and freedom of expression to publish material likely to expose gays to hatred or contempt, he has now removed that crap from his websites, and AM 1140 has kicked him off their station. Maybe, like most bullies, he turns and runs when someone stands up to him. He's no doubt aware that Mr. Winnicki was given 9 months in jail for contempt of court for ignoring a Federal Court order to remove hate messages. Damn shame... We could have had a nine month holiday from Chandler's rants!

Interesting - it's possible that's what he was looking at. (Pretty sad statement when the Christian Reich is using a white supremacist for a guidepost...

...and yes, Chandler's a bully, no doubt about it.

I wonder if His Holiness Mr. Chandler has considered the fate of Reinhard Mueller who was just sentenced to 16 month in jail plus 3 year of probation thereafter!

The Mueller case just proves how dangerous and toxic hate propaganda is - look how it has poisoned the mind of Mr. Mueller, who otherwise appears to be an intelligent and educated person. His sentence is pretty close to the maximum allowable of 2 years, and it should be a WAKE UP CALL TO ALL INTERNET BIGOTS.... I enjoy reading your blogs, Grog.... keep up the good work...
