I think Congress as a whole FAILED this course.
How can you justify tax cuts, when your government is racking up record high deficits (and debt)?
A progressive voice shining light into the darkness of regressive politics. Pretty much anything will be fair game, and little will be held sacred.

You can justify it by giving the tax cuts to your wealthy backers and the money being borrowed going to the same people in the form of government contracts.
